WE ARE CORNWALL

We are Cornwall is a destination website with a primary focus on year-round tourism – promoting the county not just to visitors from across the Tamar, but, most importantly, to people who live and work here.

Created as a sister company to SBPR, we devised, developed and run We are Cornwall. Why? Because we are passionate about the county and all that it can offer. We’re also very well aware how easy it is to live and work in a beautiful place and not really appreciate the many wonderful places there are not far from our doorstep. By encouraging other people, as well as ourselves, to explore more we can help local businesses – especially during the shoulder months.

Our aim

To provide a visually stunning, comprehensive website guide to places to stay and things to do in Cornwall, profiling member businesses, beaches, landmarks, towns and villages through web page copy, reviews, PR, weekly newsletters, social media, blogs, competitions and videos.

What we do

All the above – and more. It’s a labour of love but one that we know is making a difference. Since launching after a successful crowdfunding campaign in March 2015, we are currently getting around 150,000 unique visitors a year and that number is growing all the time. Our social media platforms are buzzing (almost 5k Facebook likes, nearly 4k Twitter followers and around 1700 Instagram followers) and our weekly newsletters and twice weekly blogs achieve excellent engagement and opening rates.

Key achievements

–      Site visits have increased by 153% when comparing the 6-month and 18-month figures.

–      Starting with no list at all, the past 18 months have seen our email database grow to over 14,000.

–      There are now more than 100 member businesses profiled on the site.
