One of only 50 hotels in the UK to be awarded 4 Silver Stars by The AA and a member of the prestigious ‘Pride of Britain’ hotel group, The Headland in Newquay has 96 bedrooms, 39 self-catering cottages, 2 AA Rosette restaurants and a ‘five bubble’ rated spa. Enjoying a fabulous location on the cliffs overlooking Fistral Beach, it was the setting for the 1990 classic film adaptation of Roald Dahl’s The Witches. The Headland has just been named as one of the South West region’s fastest growing companies.

Our brief

Initially we were taken on to do local and regional PR for The Headland. Now, we look after their national and international PR as well.

What we do

We work closely with the hotel’s marketing team – meeting them on a monthly basis to update our action plan and brainstorm ideas. Activities include writing press releases and features, creating content, managing media events, responding to journalist enquiries, providing PR advice and organising press stays and reviews.

Key achievements

Securing regular online and offline coverage and key influencer endorsement – locally, nationally and internationally.

“We have been delighted with the coverage achieved by SBPR. The team are incredibly helpful and nothing is too much hard work. They respond very promptly and all press releases are accurate and effective. We very much look forward to seeing what we can achieve in the future by continuing our working partnership.”
