First established more than 50 years ago, Bristol-based PDM specialises in making bespoke rubber-dipped products for clients worldwide.  The company has also won a 2016 Queen’s Award for Innovation – the equivalent of a business Oscar – for its very successful Bloccs waterproof arm and leg protectors.

Now selling via Boots online, Superdrug, Amazon and direct from their own website, Bloccs keep plastercasts and wound dressings completely dry – allowing adults and children to bathe, swim and shower normally.

Our brief

To act as PDM’s marketing communications team, advising on strategy and implementing an agreed action plan.

What we do

PDM and Bloccs are a lovely company to work with. Since September 2016, we have publicised the presentation of their Queen’s Award by HRH The Duke of Kent, written blogs, press releases and case studies, managed their social media platforms, organised online advertising, assisted with awareness-raising during overseas exhibitions and produced newsletters. Activities are generally agreed during a monthly Skype meeting and fleshed out via emails and phone calls.

Key achievements

Increased social media following, local and trade press coverage, good newsletter engagement, marketing and promotional literature advice and guidance.
