PRECISION DIPPINGS & BLOCCS

First established more than 50 years ago, Bristol-based PDM specialises in making bespoke rubber-dipped products for clients worldwide.  The company has also won a 2016 Queen’s Award for Innovation – the equivalent of a business Oscar – for its very successful Bloccs waterproof arm and leg protectors.

Now selling via Boots online, Lloyds Pharmacy, Superdrug, Amazon and direct from their own website, Bloccs keep plastercasts and wound dressings completely dry – allowing adults and children to bathe, swim and shower normally.

Our brief

To act as PDM’s marketing communications team, advising on strategy and implementing an agreed action plan.

What we do

PDM and Bloccs are a lovely company to work with. Since September 2016, we have publicised the presentation of their Queen’s Award by HRH The Duke of Kent, written blogs, packaging copy, press releases and case studies, managed their social media platforms, organised online advertising, assisted with awareness-raising during overseas exhibitions and produced newsletters.

Key achievements

Increased social media following, local and trade press coverage, good newsletter engagement, marketing and promotional literature advice and guidance.

Client testimonial

“SBPR have been supporting our marketing activity since 2016. They have been helping us to develop our social media strategy which has included a successful photo competition, writing copy for leaflets and our website, writing press releases and writing and distributing monthly newsletters. We have enjoyed working with SBPR and have been delighted with the service we have received. We were very proud to receive the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation in 2016 and we were thrilled that SBPR were able to attend the Award Ceremony to celebrate with us. SBPR helped us with coverage of this event and other international exhibitions we have attended. Our sales are continuing to grow and we look forward to progressing with our international marketing strategy with SBPR.”
