Free drop-in sessions on how to save a life are being held at Dudley, Gornal, Brierley Hill, Netherton, Stourbridge, Lye, Cradley and Halseowen libraries on Saturday 26 September from 10am to 2pm.
Local St John Ambulance volunteers will demonstrate the simple skills that can save someone’s life – including hands-only CPR and how to use a public access defibrillator.
Part of the annual Save a Life September Campaign, the short sessions are suitable for all ages and aimed at increasing public confidence in how to act in an emergency.
Operating under the Better brand, GLL is the charitable social enterprise that runs Dudley libraries on behalf of the council.
“We’re delighted to be partnering with St John Ambulance on this vital campaign,” said Stephanie Rhoden, GLL Partnership Manager for Dudley Libraries.
“Learning simple skills like these can literally be the difference between life and death and we’re very grateful to the volunteers who are coming along to teach adults and children what to do in those critical moment circumstances.
“Feel free to pop in at any time between 10am and 2pm.
