Free storytelling workshops for children aged 6-11 will be held at Halesowen Library on Tuesday 11 August from1030-1130am and at Cradley Library on Tuesday 25 August from 1130-1230pm.
Led by author and illustrator Krista Joy, the sessions are fun, hands-on and designed to inspire young imaginations.
“My workshops are centred around people, places and objects — a creative writing session that uses photographs and everyday objects to help children see the world around them, think creatively, and generate original story ideas,” said Krista.
“We explore character, setting, and narrative in a fun session that dreams up ideas, builds characters and creates amazing stories. The focus is on enjoyment and building self-confidence.”
GLL is the charitable social enterprise that runs Halesowen and Cradley libraries on behalf of the council.
“2026 is the National Year of Reading and Krista is an experienced workshop leader who has written, illustrated and published four children’s books of her own,” said Sue Morgan-Salcombe, Library Manager.
“We’re delighted to be hosting her in August for what we know will be two very popular and inspiring events.
