BookToker Kelly Bloomer will be at Halesowen Library on Saturday 8 August at 11am to give a free talk about how and why she began her successful BookToking journey.
BookTok is a massive and influential TikTok subcommunity where creators like Kelly produce emotional reaction videos to share and review books.
As an avid reader, Kelly started posting about her love of books in 2022 under the username @kelly86booktok. Since then, she has won more that 4100 followers and achieved 31.5k likes.
“BookTok is a digital book club that has become a powerful marketing force in publishing,” said Sue Morgan-Salcombe, Library Manager. “It’s been credited with changing the way people find new books to read, and this is an opportunity to hear Kelly talk about her own experiences.
“She will also be discussing some of her favourite books and authors and is happy to answer questions.

Operating under the Better brand, GLL is the charitable social enterprise that runs Dudley Libraries on behalf of the council.
