Dudley Library is running a series of free author events for adults and teenagers as part of the National Year of Reading.

On Wednesday 25 February at 7pm, Laura Liptrot and Jon Hartless will talk about their new books published by Tenebrous Texts. Laura’s The adventures of a Time Travelling Artist is the fourth book in her Garden of Time series and Jon will be sharing insights into his Poppy Orpington series. Both authors will have signed copies of their books available to buy.

Michelle Townsend is a cancer survivor and qualified hypno-oncology practitioner who shares her experiences in From Fear to Freedom – When All Appears Lost, A Way will Be Found: One Woman’s Inspirational Healing Journey To Freedom. She will be talking about her memoir on 7 March at 2pm and is happy to answer questions.

Finally, Dudley Library is planning an author’s fayre on Saturday 25 April from 10am to 3pm and is inviting local authors to come along with their books and have a free stall. 

“There’s a lot going on and we look forward to welcoming all authors during this national Year of Reading,” said library manager Sharon Whitehouse.

“People can turn up for event or book in advance by calling 01384 815560 or emailing the library Authors wanting to take part in our author’s fayre in April can get in touch the same way.”
