Broadcaster Petroc Trelawny and musician and composer Richard Sisson will be hosting a special quiz night in Fowey Town Hall on Friday 5 December from 7.30-9pm.
Music, brain teasers, quizzes and conversation are on the programme in what promises to be a highly entertaining event.
Petroc Trelawny grew up on The Lizard and attended Helston School. After starting his career at Radio Devon as a presenter and reporter, he went on to join Classic FM and then BBC Radio 3 in 1998. There have been many highlights since – including presenting live TV coverage of the 2025 Cenotaph Remembrance service.
A proud Cornishman, Petroc’s first book ‘Trelawny’s Cornwall’ was published last year.
Richard Sisson is well known for composing the music for Alan Bennet’s plays The History Boys and Lady in the Van, performing as a pianist at the Proms and being one half of the Kit & the Widow musical duo – alongside the late Kit Hesketh-Harvey.
“Petroc Trelawny and Richard Sisson are both huge talents in their own right and to have both of them on stage together in Fowey is amazing,” said Brenda Daly, Festival Director for the du Maurier Fowey Literary Festival.
“We hope as many people as possible will come along and support what is undoubtedly a great opportunity to have some quizzing fun in the company of stars.”
The evening is a fundraising event for the 2026 festival which runs from 1-9 May. Tickets cost £12 each and there will be a festival bar, a Christmas raffle and book signings.
