The special programme of activities at Keynsham Leisure Centre includes mind and body fitness masterclasses in yoga, Pilates and mindfulness, group fitness masterclasses in cycling and circuit training, gym taster sessions, an adult beginner swimming lesson, social badminton and social pickleball.

At Bath Sports and Leisure Centre, there will be a SkiErg Challenge to get the best time, badminton and adult swim coaching, a seated exercise class, a men-only strength session, adult trampolining, dance fitness, freestyle yoga, circuit training and aerobics.

Operating under the Better brand, GLL is the not-for-profit social enterprise that runs the two centres on behalf of BANES council.

“We’re delighted to be supporting UK Active’s annual campaign,” said Mark Harrison, Community Sports Manager.

“Everyone benefits physically and mentally from moving more and it doesn’t matter how old you are, what health conditions you might have or or what you’ve done before.

“National Fitness Day is an opportunity to try out something new and get involved.”
