Christmas may seem like a long way ahead but a team from BID Camborne have already visited Tregothnan Estate, near Truro, to choose this year’s tree.
BID manager Anna Pascoe, BID director Jo Weller and social media manager Chantelle Roberts made the trip to select just the right festive centrepiece for the 2025 Saturday lights’ switch on.
“We met Terry Herron, Tregothan’s Forestry and Woodland Manager, who kindly gave us a tour of the Christmas tree woodland,” said Anna.
“Our Christmas planning starts in January each year and getting the tree organised is obviously an essential part of the process.
“This year’s theme is Merry and Bright, and I can safely say the tree we’ve reserved will look fantastic – especially when it’s all dressed up. In the meantime, it will carry on growing until being delivered in November.
“In a change to recent programming, Camborne will be holding its Children’s Lantern Parade and Christmas Lights Switch-on celebrations on two separate evenings so locals and businesses can benefit from two free, fun and very festive events.”
