Western Leisure Centre in Cardiff will be taking part in Let’s Dance on Sunday 2 March – a nationwide initiative spearheaded by Angela Rippon CBE.

Two free dance-based activities will be held at the centre on the day – Zumba from 1-2pm and Dance Fitness from 2-3pm.

Bringing together dance organisations, charities, health professionals, community groups and celebrities, Let’s Dance is all about making dance accessible to everyone.

Western is one of seven GLL leisure centres nationwide to be involved and Assistant Manager Mark Henders is hoping as many people as possible will come along.

“Dancing is a wonderful form of exercise that doesn’t feel like working out in a gym but has similar physical and mental benefits,” he said.

“Sunday 2 March at Western Leisure Centre is a great free opportunity to see how much fun dancing can be – and it helps keep you healthy too.

“Booking online or via the Better app opens on 23 February.”

Operating under the Better brand, GLL is the not-for-profit social enterprise that runs the centre on behalf of the Council.
