With the first of this year’s open tennis championships about to take place, St Austell Leisure Centre is offering families the chance to have a go at the sport themselves.

The sessions are aimed at children aged between six and ten years, along with their parents and grandparents who are encouraged to join in.

“These tennis lessons provide a fantastic opportunity for families to enjoy some quality time together, whilst keeping fit and learning some new skills,” said Amelia Kitchen, General Manager at St Austell Leisure Centre. “As a keen tennis player myself I can’t recommend the sport enough. It’s fantastic to see families having a go and enjoying learning together.”

The sessions, which are run by a qualified coach, are an hour long and take place indoors every Wednesday at 3.50pm and 4.50pm at a cost of £4.50 for members and £5.00 for non-members. All equipment is provided.
