Whilst this weekend’s severe weather warnings have led to the historic decision to cancel Boardmasters, Newquay’s newest indoor attraction is gearing up to provide plenty of energetic entertainment for many of the thousands of visitors already in the town.

First opened on 19 July following a £2.8m investment by leisure social enterprise provider GLL, Newquay Trampoline and Play Park boasts state of the art facilities that include dive platforms, foam pits, a four-lane obstacle course, trick zone, aeroball games and a two-player reaction pod.

For children up to the age of 12, there are also individual netted bounce zones, ball pool, glow room, balance beams, crawl tunnels, baby area and a role play beach hut.

Hundreds of people of all ages have enjoyed the park in the last few weeks and now, with gales and rain likely to force a retreat from local beaches in the coming days, staff are anticipating record numbers of visitors.

“We feel for everyone involved in Boardmasters as it’s very disappointing to have to cancel a huge and amazing event like that at the last moment,” said Tim Webb, GLL’s Cornwall Partnership Manager. “The good news is that Newquay Trampoline and Play Park offers excellent bouncy family fun year-round from 10am to 6pm daily – and that’s one thing the Great British weather can’t spoil! Given that demand is likely to be particularly high, though, we do advise booking in advance.”

Session prices are activity dependent – with significant discounts available on bookings made the day before. It’s also important to note that the attraction is cashless.

GLL, which operates under the Better brand, took on the management of all Cornwall’s leisure centres on behalf of Cornwall Council in 2017.
