Charlotte Hayes has joined The Headland in Newquay as the hotel’s new Sales and Marketing Manager.
Originally from Launceston, Charlotte has worked in some very well-known establishments – including The Dorchester, Cliveden House Hotel and the Hind’s Head in Bray. Prior to her move back to Cornwall, she was Group Marketing Manager of The Vineyard Group, a hotel management company based in Berkshire.
“I trained as a chef at college in North Devon and, after doing well in a catering competition, went on to work as commis chef at Coworth Park in Berkshire, part of the Dorchester Collection,” said Charlotte. “After being selected for the Ten Out Of Ten management training scheme, I went on to experience all the different sectors of the hospitality industry, including front of house, human resources, marketing, event management, housekeeping, maintenance and the kitchen.
“My partner and I always planned to move back to Cornwall – but only when the right challenge presented itself. Joining The Headland was the perfect opportunity and I’m delighted to be here. Everyone has been very friendly and welcoming.”
With work underway on a new £6m Aquatic Centre and visitor bookings showing a dramatic increase, The Headland has never been busier.
“We are genuinely delighted that Charlotte is now part of our award-winning team,” said Managing Director Darryl Reburn. “We’ve got a lot of plans in place and are looking forward to an exciting, busy year.”
