Six private gardens in Fowey will be opening their gates to the public on Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 May from 10am to 5pm. Entry is by ticket only.

The Old Barn, Daglands House, Porphyry Hall Garden, 5 Cobbs Well, 1 Church Avenue and Broadstairs all offer something different – from spectacular estuary views to walled garden serenity and seclusion.

Tenor and Guildhall School of Music and Drama graduate Thomas Martyn will be performing four short operatic interludes at Broadstairs garden in North Street and at Daglands House. Access to his performances will be capacity controlled on a first-arrivals basis.

Tea, coffee and cake will be available on both days at Broadstairs, Dagland House and Porphyry Hall Garden, while 1 Church Avenue will be serving prosecco.

The two-day open ticket costs £7, with all proceeds going towards the du Maurier Fowey Literary Festival charity.
