A packed programme of festive events in Camborne begins on Friday 29 November when the lights are switched on.
The day will start with the Christmas Produce Market in the town square from 9am-2pm, followed by entertainment on the main stage from 3.30 to 5.40pm and a children’s lantern parade from 5.45pm.
A local child nominated by one of this month’s winners of the popular Camborne Town Loyalty Card draw will have the honour of pushing the button and lighting up the decorated tree and streets at 6.30pm.
BID Camborne funds 75% of the Christmas in Camborne festivities, with Camborne Town Council funding the remainder. Free parking is available in Rosewarne car park on Saturday 7th December, Saturday 14th December and Monday 23rd December.
“Camborne is a wonderful place to visit at Christmas,” said BID Manager Anna Pascoe.
“Our theme for this year is Winter Wonderland and local businesses have again risen to the challenge of creating some amazing window displays.
“To mark Small Business Saturday on 7 December, we’re offering two stamps for one purchase in participating shops on our loyalty cards – making present buying in Camborne even better value.
“I know I’m biased but, with plenty going on and a great atmosphere, Camborne really will stand out this Christmas.”
