A golden pirate captain, the chance to learn some circus skills, creating a work of art on hand cranked paint spinners and Demelza Dragon – just some of the wide range of free things to see and do on Fridays in Camborne this summer.

Fun Fridays have become a much-loved feature of the Camborne high street calendar – from a traditional fairground organ providing a festive feel on Friday 14 July to Captain O’Goldie showing off his extraordinarily long pirate legs and Disco Fever proving they’re the grooviest and most colourful stilt walkers around on 21 July.

The entertainment, organised by BID Camborne, spans ten Fridays and ends on 8 September.

“All the acts help make our town centre a fun place to visit – especially for families,” said BID Camborne manager Anna Pascoe.

“There’s face painting, music, bubbles, juggling, spinning art and stilt walking – plus Demelza Dragon’s much anticipated appearance on 25 August.

“Camborne is a wonderful, cost-effective place to shop at the best of times, but our Fun Fridays give it an extra special, very festive feel. We all need our spirits lifting from time to time and Camborne’s Fun Fridays certainly help achieve that.”
