Spring has sprung in Camborne with a loyalty card bonanza that began on St Piran’s Day and runs to Trevithick Day on 29 April.
BID Camborne first launched the loyalty card scheme in April last year. Shoppers earn one stamp on the card each day when they shop at a BID business in the town. A £2 minimum spend is required and, when the ten stamps on a card are complete, it’s entered in a monthly draw to win prizes of £100, £75 and £50. People can submit as many stamped cards as they wish.
With up to 150 cards entered each month in the draw – representing nearly 1500 monthly purchases – the scheme has proved very successful. Now, to celebrate its first anniversary, even more encouragement is being offered to shop in Camborne.
“Our spring bonanza kicked off with double stamps on St Piran’s Day,” said BID Camborne manager Anna Pascoe.
“On Trevithick Day, we’re holding a 12@12 mini draw on our BID stand. That means 12 cards will be drawn out of the hat at midday to mark the scheme’s first 12 months and each card owner will win £25 of vouchers to spend in town.
“We’re really pleased with the loyalty card’s popularity and look forward to even more monthly entries in the year ahead. With its fantastic range of independent businesses, I encourage people to visit Camborne for their Easter shopping. It’s a great place to find those extra special purchases you won’t find anywhere else.”
From just 12 people submitting at least one card in April 2022, there are now close to 100 entrants every month.
Cards are available in participating Camborne businesses. For more information, visit the website and @cambornetown on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
