Intensive swimming lessons, family fun swimming, junior gym, tennis, soft play and trampolining – just some of the wide range of activities available at Better leisure centres throughout Cornwall this half term.

With home heating costs high, the February school holiday is a good time for families to generate their own heat by getting active in a social setting.

“Having the children home all day can be expensive with energy prices at the level they are so we’re encouraging parents to make use of what we offer,” said GLL senior general manager Amelia Kitchen.

“Local residents are entitled to good discounts if they’ve got one of our free Cornwall Cards and most of us are fully aware that physical exercise is great for health and mental well-being.

“The cost-of-living crisis is affecting everyone, so it makes sense to come together and share resources as much as possible.

“There’s plenty to do and you’ll have fun and get fit. Come and join us.”

Operating under the Better brand, GLL runs leisure centres in Bude, Saltash, Liskeard, Bodmin, St Austell, Newquay, Truro, Helston and St Ives on behalf of Cornwall Council.
