Leisure centres throughout Cornwall will be ensuring some half term fun with a range of activities that include swimming, soft play, tennis and trampolining.

After so many months of disruption caused by the pandemic, staff at the 12 Better centres run by GLL are looking forward to helping customers of all ages get fit and healthy in whatever way is best for them.

The leisure social enterprise is also offering free Cornwall Card membership to residents who sign up before the end of the October half term. The card, which was launched this summer, provides up to 20% discount on activity prices.

“We’re all about serving our local communities and the Cornwall Card is a great way of saving money when using our facilities,” said Amelia Kitchen, GLL’s Senior General Manager in Cornwall.

“Successive lockdowns made most of us go a little stir crazy, but there’s nothing like exercise for re-booting energy levels and making us feel normal again. Children, in particular, need to let off some steam at half term and we can certainly help them do that.

“Covid restrictions are still in place of course so pre booking at your local centre is advised to avoid disappointment.”

The centres are in the following locations: Bodmin, Bude, Helston, Launceston, Liskeard, Newquay, Saltash, Falmouth, St Austell, St Ives, Truro and Wadebridge.
