GLL, which operates under the Better brand and runs Cornwall’s leisure centres on behalf of the council, has had to close its leisure centres but is working in partnership with Public Health England to offer free home exercise videos and 600 online fitness classes instead.
Available on the Better UK app, classes range from 15-60 minutes in length and include core, agility, fat burn, mindfulness and yoga.
“In these challenging times we are working hard to help our members stay fit and healthy while they are unable to access the gyms, pools and leisure facilities they would normally visit,” said James Curry, GLL’s Cornwall Partnership Manager.
“As a charitable social enterprise, we care deeply about the health and wellbeing of our local community and are doing all we can to support them through our online offer.
“We look forward to welcoming our customers back again when we can and, in the meantime, thank them for their loyalty.”
