In a nod to the miners of days gone by – who travelled from the town to many different areas all over the world – Camborne’s new town guide includes a postcard with a purpose.
Visitors to the area are being asked to send their postcard back to Camborne once they’ve returned home, in order to see how far they reach.
Widely available across the town, there is also a free map inside the guide – providing advice on car parks, rest rooms and other useful points – as well as information on the Heritage Trail and its highlights.
“There’s so much to see and do around Camborne, from the fantastic array of shops, cafés and eateries, to the heritage for which the area is so famous,” said BID (Business Improvement District) manager Anna Pascoe. “Our new town guide allows visitors to make the most of their time here, exploring all that the town has to offer. We’re really excited to see where the free postcards end up and have already received our first from a family in Wales.”
The new town guides are available from the majority of businesses across Camborne. Postcards should be sent to BID Camborne, 12a Cross Street, Camborne, TR14 8EX.
