Truro-based telecommunications provider Orbiss has supplied the world-renowned, five-star Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland with contemporary Vtech cordless and corded phones for its 232 luxury bedrooms, suites and lodges.
Not only did the phones have to be stylish and reliable, they also had to integrate with the hotel’s existing telecoms infrastructure and enhance the guest experience with instant contact to key facilities like golf, concierge, sports arena and the award-winning spa.
Orbiss Sales Manager Sam Hallworth managed the contract, travelling between Cornwall and Scotland to ensure the choice of colour, line cord and speed dial options were exactly right for the distinctive, luxury Gleneagles brand.
“We’re honoured to work with such a prestigious client as Gleneagles,” said Orbiss Director Karen Patterson. “Vtech’s range of hotel phones come with several bespoke options and were perfect for the job. Everyone is very pleased with the result.”
Orbiss has been working with businesses throughout the UK and Europe for the last 35 years. Their services include supplying hotel TVs as well as phone systems, lines and calls, WiFi installation and IT provision and support.
“This is a terrific customer win for our partner Orbiss and we’re proud to have played a key part in this deal,” said Charles Williams, Vtech’s Sales Director. “It demonstrates how resellers can draw on our strengths and the flexibility of products to win new business and respond to their customers’ needs in the hotel and hospitality industry.”
Vtech is the world’s largest manufacturer of cordless telephones and electronic learning products.
