Darryn Richards, from Redruth, divisional director of award-winning wealth management company Brewin Dolphin, has attained chartered manager status with the Chartered Management Institute.

It is the latest in an exceptionally impressive list of qualifications and career successes for Darryn who, since leaving Redruth School, has spent 23 years in the investment management profession. Aged just 29, he became Rowan Dartington’s youngest ever Head of Office and additional achievements along the way include becoming a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, a Chartered Wealth Manager and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.  Darryn also gained a postgraduate diploma in strategic management and leadership and was awarded a distinction and Cornwall College’s prestigious ‘Student of the Year’ accolade for his master’s degree in management.

“I am primarily an investment manager but also have general management responsibilities,” said Darryn.  “Brewin Dolphin encourages continuing professional development because of the very positive impact it has on what we are able to do for our clients. Being at the top of our game is what the company is all about and I’m personally very proud of all that we achieve.”

As divisional director of Brewin Dolphin, a FTSE 250 company, Darryn works with clients across the South West and beyond but has a recently opened base in Lemon Street, Truro.

The Chartered Institute of Management is the only organisation in the UK to offer chartered manager status.
