Being awarded an AA Rosette is always an excuse to celebrate – especially when it coincides with the second anniversary of the Executive Head Chef’s arrival.
Christopher Archambault’s culinary expertise has taken him to Dublin, London and Canada but Cornwall has always been the place he considers home, which was why he was delighted to take on the role of Executive Chef at The Headland in Newquay in June 2015 and why he is particularly thrilled with the award of an AA Rosette for The Terrace.
“Chris wanted to improve The Headland’s reputation for food and he is certainly doing that,” said General Manager Darryl Reburn. “Our Samphire Restaurant recently received its second Rosette and now The Terrace has been awarded one. Our kitchen team works very hard to offer customers delicious, locally-sourced food and they’re understandably very proud of this achievement.”
The Terrace was originally built as a conservatory and, with its floor-to-ceiling glass wall, enjoys magnificent sea views. Relaxed and informal, it provides an all-day menu that includes brunch, newly-introduced Prosecco lunches, afternoon tea and dinner.
