SBPR Account Manager Rosie Bradbury has clocked up 170 miles so far this year in preparation for the London Marathon. With another seven weeks to go, she’s looking to run just under 200 more in the build up to the big day.
Running for Asthma UK – a charity that is working hard to stop asthma attacks and find a cure – Rosie has set a fundraising target of £1,800.
Rosie explains, “I’ve had asthma for as long as I can remember. It plays a big part in my life, which is why I’ve chosen to run for this charity.”
Getting out running regularly has been very different to Rosie’s day to day involvement with horses – competing has been put on hold until after the marathon, but she’s looking forward to a number of events this season once she’s back running for fun. “I’m still riding as much as I can, but running has had to take priority for the moment – but I have noticed a real difference in my fitness at competitions!”
As part of her fundraising effort Rosie has arranged a raffle, to be drawn on the 24th March – just before the Easter break. There’s a selection of great prizes on offer, including a Skinner’s Brewery gift pack, Sunday lunch for two at the Royal Duchy Hotel, sparkling vintage Cornish cider from Fowey Valley Cider, Buttermilk fudge, a voucher for The Alverton, an acrylic aerial print of Coverack Harbour, plus more!
